The federal government subpoenaed our client to testify before a grand jury in a 20 year old murder investigation. Feeling that his testimony could possibly incriminate him, at our direction, our client exercised his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent. The U.S. Attorney’s Office attempted to compel his testimony. After a hearing and motions on the matter, a federal district court judge agreed with us and found that our client did not have to testify.  The federal government was forced to stop harassing him.
